My education and experience reflect a true understanding of the bio-psycho-social perspective. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology (Stephens College, 2003), a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work (University of Missouri, 2005), a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Columbia College, 2008), and an Associate’s Degree of Nursing Science (Columbia College, 2008).
I’ve maintained a private practice for over 20 years, while working as an ICU, Mental Health, Hospice/Palliative Care nurse, and as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. In 2020, I made the decision to focus on my private practice. I work with direct contacts and referred clients from medical providers.
My clients benefit from my unique perspective that combines licensure and expertise as a Licensed Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Nurse. Medical professionals who seek mental health services know I understand their terminology and the stress that comes with being a medical provider. Clients with mental health needs benefit from getting more insight into their medical and resource needs. I explain things from a multidisciplinary approach, which provides better outcomes mentally, physically and socially for my clients.
My focus is with the adult population over 16 years of age. My practice is all inclusive, regardless of gender, race or religion. I am supportive of all forms of non-traditional techniques that clients chose to utilize in their quest for better mental and physical health.
Please contact me to find out more about how my practice is different, and how you can benefit from a multidisciplinary approach.
