  • What types of therapy do you offer?

    I specialize in therapy for anxiety and depression, adults of childhood trauma, ADHD, grief and bereavement, adjustment, PTSD, and traumatic response symptoms for healthcare and emergency responders. Additionally, I offer support for chronic illness, crisis therapy, end-of-life issues, and more.

  • How do I schedule an appointment? What does the process look like?

    I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation for everyone. This meet-and-greet session allows me to understand why you are seeking therapy or case management, explain my approach, and discuss how it might differ from your expectations. We'll also talk about availability to ensure I have an open slot for you.


    If we decide to proceed, the next step is a one-hour consultation, billed at $150 per hour. During this session, we'll focus on your expectations, time frame, and the specific issues you're facing. This is where you'll decide if you want to book further appointments.


    The intake process follows, where I gather detailed information about your history, medications, past treatments, and family background. This session is billed at the same $100 rate as regular sessions. You'll also receive forms to be signed and completed before we continue.

  • How long is a session?

    Session length can vary. We will discuss the duration that best suits your needs during our consultation.

  • What are your rates for services?

    We operate on a cash-only basis. For the initial consultation, there is a free ½ hour consultation fee. After the first ½ hour, it is considered an intake at $150 per hour. The hourly rate for in-home visits in Missouri is $120 per hour + mileage within 30 miles of Jefferson City Missouri. Request quote for distances farther than 30 miles. The hourly rate for telehealth appointments is $100.

    I serve clients in Missouri (some areas) with in-home visits and provide telehealth appointments for all clients in Missouri, Michigan and Montana.

    Yes, I offer in-home visits for clients in some areas of Missouri. For all clients in Missouri, Michigan and Montana, I provide telehealth appointments.

  • How do I prepare for my first session?

    To prepare for your first session, complete the forms sent to you after our initial contact, or I can help you during the first session. Reflect on your goals for therapy and any specific issues you'd like to address. Start by asking yourself “Why therapy? Why now?

  • What are some tips to prepare for a telehealth appointment?

    Prepare your thoughts and questions beforehand, if you can. Choose a comfortable setting for your appointment, whether that's lying in bed, gardening, working out, or simply sitting on the couch.

  • Can you prescribe medication or diagnose medical conditions?

    No, as a therapist and registered nurse, I cannot prescribe medication or diagnose medical conditions. As a Licensed Therapist, I can diagnose all mental health conditions. However, I can offer expertise and provide you with a list of questions to discuss with your medical doctor.

  • Is telehealth therapy effective?

    Yes, telehealth therapy can be very effective. It offers flexibility and accessibility, allowing you to receive support from the comfort of your home.

  • What should I do if I experience a crisis between sessions?

    If you are an existing client of mine, you can call me. If I am not available please call 988 for the Mental Health Crisis Hotline. If you are not an existing client, please call 988 for the Mental Health Crisis Hotline, or call 911.

  • Can I refer someone to you?

    Yes! If you refer someone and they sign on as a client, you receive a free session.
