As a Licensed Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Registered Nurse, I often find that literature can be an invaluable tool for personal growth and healing. Over the years, I have come across several books that have profoundly impacted my understanding of mental health and have proven beneficial to my clients. 1. Scattered Minds by Gabor Mate, MD (includes workbook)

While I was working as a hospital nurse. I experienced and witnessed the effect of trauma for myself and others serving on the front lines of medical care.
